我的神派遣他的使者封住了獅子的口，使牠們沒有傷害我，因為我在神面前是清白的；王啊，我在你面前也沒有做過任何害人的事。」王因此極其高興，下令把但以理從坑裡拉上來；但以理就被人從坑裡拉上來，在他身上找不到任何損傷，因為他信靠他的神。王又下令，人就把那些惡意控告但以理的人帶來，把他們連同他們的兒女、妻子都扔進獅子坑。他們還沒有落到坑底，那些獅子就撲住他們，把他們全身的骨頭都咬碎了。

突然發生了強烈的地震，結果監獄的地基都被搖動，所有的監門立刻打開了，每個囚犯的鎖鏈也都鬆開了。

由於從王發出的命令急迫，窯又燒得非常熱，烈火的火焰燒死了那些抬沙德拉克、米沙克、亞伯尼哥的人。

你們當從地上讚美耶和華！你們海中的巨獸和所有的深淵、烈火和冰雹、冰雪和雲霧、遵行他話語的暴風、

他們藉著信，征服了列國，行了公義，獲得了那些應許；他們堵住了獅子的口，滅了烈火的威力，逃脫了刀劍的鋒刃，從軟弱中得以剛強，在戰爭中得以強大，擊敗了外國的軍隊。
