我的神派遣他的使者封住了狮子的口，使它们没有伤害我，因为我在神面前是清白的；王啊，我在你面前也没有做过任何害人的事。”王因此极其高兴，下令把但以理从坑里拉上来；但以理就被人从坑里拉上来，在他身上找不到任何损伤，因为他信靠他的神。王又下令，人就把那些恶意控告但以理的人带来，把他们连同他们的儿女、妻子都扔进狮子坑。他们还没有落到坑底，那些狮子就扑住他们，把他们全身的骨头都咬碎了。

突然发生了强烈的地震，结果监狱的地基都被摇动，所有的监门立刻打开了，每个囚犯的锁链也都松开了。

由于从王发出的命令急迫，窑又烧得非常热，烈火的火焰烧死了那些抬沙德拉克、米沙克、亚伯尼哥的人。

你们当从地上赞美耶和华！你们海中的巨兽和所有的深渊、烈火和冰雹、冰雪和云雾、遵行他话语的暴风、

他们藉着信，征服了列国，行了公义，获得了那些应许；他们堵住了狮子的口，灭了烈火的威力，逃脱了刀剑的锋刃，从软弱中得以刚强，在战争中得以强大，击败了外国的军队。
