Then he went out and found the body lying on the road, with the donkey and the lion standing beside it. The lion had neither eaten the body nor mauled the donkey.

他們就遵照摩西的吩咐，把仍穿著內袍的屍體抬到營外。

那些總督、行政官、省長和王的謀士上前圍觀，見火焰沒有燒傷他們的身體，他們的頭髮沒有燒焦，衣服沒有燒壞，身上甚至沒有火燎的氣味。尼布甲尼撒說：「沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的上帝當受稱頌！祂差遣天使拯救那些信靠祂的僕人。他們無視王命，寧肯死也不供奉、祭拜其他神明。

我的上帝差遣天使封住了獅子的口，不讓牠們傷害我，因為我在上帝面前是清白的。王啊，我在你面前也沒有過錯。」王非常高興，便命人把但以理從坑中拉上來。於是，但以理從坑中被拉了上來，他因為信靠他的上帝，身上毫無損傷。王下令把那些惡意控告但以理的人及其兒女妻子都帶來，扔進獅子坑。他們還沒到坑底，獅子便撲上去，咬碎了他們的骨頭。

突然間發生大地震，整座監獄的地基都搖動起來，牢門立刻全開了，囚犯的鎖鏈也都鬆開了。

於是，有火從耶和華面前出來吞噬了他們，他們就死在耶和華面前。

烏鴉每天早晚為他叼來餅和肉，他喝溪裡的水。

因為王的命令緊急，窯燒得非常熱，火焰燒死了那些抬沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的人。

要在世上讚美耶和華，海中的巨獸和深淵啊，火焰、冰雹、雪花、雲霞和聽祂吩咐的狂風啊，

難道你們不敬畏我嗎？這是耶和華說的。難道你們在我面前不顫抖嗎？我以沙石為海的界限，使水永遠不能越過它。洶湧的波濤不能逾越，澎湃的海浪不能漫過。但你們這些人頑固不化，悖逆成性。你們離我而去。

他們憑信心戰勝了敵國，行了公義，得到了應許，堵住了獅子的口，熄滅了猛烈的火焰，刀下逃生，由軟弱變為剛強，作戰勇猛，擊退外敵。

說，『你到此為止，不可越界；你狂傲的波濤要停在這裡。』
