遂向自猶大來之上帝僕呼曰、耶和華云、因爾違耶和華之言、不守爾上帝耶和華所命、

告自猶大而至上帝之僕、曰、耶和華云、因爾違命、不守爾上帝耶和華誡、

謂自猶大來之神人曰、主如是云、因爾違背主言、不守主爾天主所諭爾之誡、

He cried out to the man of God who had come from Judah,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ You have defied the word of the Lord and have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you.

He cried out to the man who had come from Judah. He told him,“ The Lord says,‘ You have not done what I told you to do. You have not obeyed the command I gave you. I am the Lord your God.

迦得就來見大衛，向他傳告說：「你要國中遭受饑荒七年，或被敵人追逼逃亡三個月，還是國中有瘟疫三天呢？現在你要想好，看看我應該怎樣回話給派遣我來的那一位。」

然而，就算是我們，或是天上來的使者，如果向你們傳講的福音，與我們先前所傳給你們的不同，他就該受詛咒。我們先前說過，現在我再說：如果有人向你們傳講的福音，與你們先前所領受的不同，他就該受詛咒。

撒母耳對掃羅說：「你做了愚蠢的事！你沒有遵守耶和華你的神所吩咐你的誡命。不然，耶和華就會堅立你在以色列的王權到永遠了；但如今，你的王權不會長久了，耶和華已經為自己找到一個合乎他心意的人，耶和華任命這人作他子民的領袖，因為你不遵守耶和華吩咐你的。」

撒母耳說：「耶和華喜悅燔祭和祭物，難道與喜悅人聽從耶和華的話等同嗎？看哪，聽從勝過獻祭，聽命勝過公綿羊的脂油；要知道，悖逆如同占卜的罪，頑梗就像拜偶像的惡。你既然厭棄耶和華的話，耶和華也厭棄你作王。」掃羅對撒母耳說：「我犯罪了！我確實違背了耶和華的吩咐和你的話語。因為我怕軍兵，就聽了他們的話。

於是他們兩人的眼睛開了，知道自己是赤身的，就把無花果樹的葉子縫合起來，為自己做了腰上的遮蓋。

但你為什麼藐視耶和華的話，做他眼中看為惡的事呢？你用刀劍擊殺了赫提人烏利亞，又娶他的妻子作你的妻子，你藉著亞捫人的刀劍殺了他！現在，刀劍必永不離開你的家，因為你藐視了我，娶了赫提人烏利亞的妻子作你的妻子。』「耶和華如此說：『看哪，我必從你家裡興起災禍攻擊你。我將在你眼前把你的妃嬪奪去，交給在你身邊的人，他會在日光之下、在你眼前與你的妃嬪同睡。
