And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall be burnt upon thee.

神人奉耶和华的命向坛呼叫，说：“坛哪，坛哪！耶和华如此说：大卫家里必生一个儿子，名叫约西亚，他必将邱坛的祭司，就是在你上面烧香的，杀在你上面，人的骨头也必烧在你上面。”

神人遵照耶和华的话向坛呼叫，说：“坛哪，坛哪！耶和华如此说：‘看哪，大卫家必生一个儿子，名叫约西亚，他必将在你上面烧香的丘坛祭司，宰杀在你上面，人的骨头也必烧在你上面。’”

上帝的仆人奉耶和华的命令向祭坛喊道：“祭坛啊，祭坛啊，耶和华说，必有一子在大卫家出生，他名叫约西亚。他要在你上面杀死这些献祭的祭司，在你上面焚烧人的骨头。”

神人奉耶和华的命令，向那祭坛喊叫，说：“祭坛哪，祭坛哪，耶和华这样说：‘看哪，大卫家要生一个儿子，名叫约西亚；他要把邱坛的祭司，就是在你上面烧香的，作祭物献在你上面。人的骨头也要在你上面焚烧。’”

神人奉耶和華的命向壇呼叫，說：「壇哪，壇哪！耶和華如此說：大衛家裏必生一個兒子，名叫約西亞，他必將邱壇的祭司，就是在你上面燒香的，殺在你上面，人的骨頭也必燒在你上面。」

神人遵照耶和華的話向壇呼叫，說：「壇哪，壇哪！耶和華如此說：『看哪，大衛家必生一個兒子，名叫約西亞，他必將在你上面燒香的丘壇祭司，宰殺在你上面，人的骨頭也必燒在你上面。』」

上帝的僕人奉耶和華的命令向祭壇喊道：「祭壇啊，祭壇啊，耶和華說，必有一子在大衛家出生，他名叫約西亞。他要在你上面殺死這些獻祭的祭司，在你上面焚燒人的骨頭。」

神人奉耶和華的命令，向那祭壇喊叫，說：“祭壇哪，祭壇哪，耶和華這樣說：‘看哪，大衛家要生一個兒子，名叫約西亞；他要把邱壇的祭司，就是在你上面燒香的，作祭物獻在你上面。人的骨頭也要在你上面焚燒。’”

神人憑着永恆主的話攻擊那祭壇而喊叫、說：『壇哪，壇哪，永恆主這麼說：「大衛王室必生個兒子、名叫約西亞；他必將邱壇的祭司、就是在你上面燻祭的、宰殺在你上面；人必將人的骨頭燒在你上面。」』

奉耶和華命、向壇而呼曰、壇乎、壇乎、耶和華云、大衛家必生一子、名約西亞、彼將取崇邱之祭司、焚香於爾上者、獻於爾上、人之骸骨、亦必焚於爾上焉、

指壇而呼曰、嗟乎此壇、耶和華有命云、大闢之家必挺生一子、名約西亞、取崇邱之祭司、焚香於是壇者、獻於壇上、亦取死者之骨、焚於此壇。

神人奉主命向壇而呼曰、壇乎、壇乎、主如是云、大衛家將生一子、名約西亞、必以邱壇之祭司、焚香於爾上者、殺於爾上、人亦以死者死者原文作人之骨、焚於爾上、

By the word of the Lord he cried out against the altar:“ Altar, altar! This is what the Lord says:‘ A son named Josiah will be born to the house of David. On you he will sacrifice the priests of the high places who make offerings here, and human bones will be burned on you.’”

The man cried out. He shouted a message from the Lord against the altar. He said,“ Altar! Altar! The Lord says,‘ A son named Josiah will be born into the royal family of David. Altar, listen to me! Josiah will sacrifice the priests of the high places on you. They will be the children of the priests who are offering sacrifices here. So human bones will be burned on you.’ ”

And the man cried against the altar by the word of the Lord and said,“ O altar, altar, thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name, and he shall sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who make offerings on you, and human bones shall be burned on you.’”

Then at the Lord’s command, he shouted,“ O altar, altar! This is what the Lord says: A child named Josiah will be born into the dynasty of David. On you he will sacrifice the priests from the pagan shrines who come here to burn incense, and human bones will be burned on you.”

The man of God cried out against the altar by the word of the LORD:“ Altar, altar, this is what the LORD says,‘ A son will be born to the house of David, named Josiah, and he will sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who are burning incense on you. Human bones will be burned on you.’”

And he cried out against the altar by the word of the Lord and said,“ Altar, altar, this is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and human bones shall burn on you.’ ”

Then he cried out against the altar by the word of the Lord, and said,“ O altar, altar! Thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, a child, Josiah by name, shall be born to the house of David; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and men’s bones shall be burned on you.’”

And he cried against the altar by the word of Jehovah, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith Jehovah: Behold, a son shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he sacrifice the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall they burn upon thee.

The man of God cried out against the altar by a revelation from the Lord:“ Altar, altar, this is what the Lord says,‘ A son will be born to the house of David, named Josiah, and he will sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who are burning incense on you. Human bones will be burned on you.’”

With the authority of the LORD he cried out against the altar,“ O altar, altar! This is what the LORD says,‘ Look, a son named Josiah will be born to the Davidic dynasty. He will sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who offer sacrifices on you. Human bones will be burned on you.’”

He cried against the altar by Yahweh’s word, and said,“ Altar! Altar! Yahweh says:‘ Behold, a son will be born to David’s house, Josiah by name. On you he will sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and they will burn men’s bones on you.’”

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD:

And they brake down the altars of Baalim in his presence; and the images, that[ were] on high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images, he brake in pieces, and made dust[ of them], and strowed[ it] upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them.And he burnt the bones of the priests upon their altars, and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem.And[ so did he] in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, with their mattocks round about.And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and had beaten the graven images into powder, and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

Josiah[ was] eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name[ was] Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.And he did[ that which was] right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

I have even from the beginning declared[ it] to thee; before it came to pass I shewed[ it] thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare[ it]? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

Moreover the altar that[ was] at Bethel,[ and] the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place,[ and] stamped[ it] small to powder, and burned the grove.And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres that[ were] there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned[ them] upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.Then he said, What title[ is] that that I see? And the men of the city told him,[ It is] the sepulchre of the man of God, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel.And he said, Let him alone; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.

That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers:That saith of Cyrus,[ He is] my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times[ the things] that are not[ yet] done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that[ are] round about;

For the saying which he cried by the word of the LORD against the altar in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which[ are] in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.

And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts[ of armour, even] a great company[ with] bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

Josiah[ was] eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem one and thirty years.
