He said,“ I may not return with you, nor go in with you. I will not eat bread or drink water with you in this place.

神人說：『我不能跟你回去，或是跟你進去；也不能在這地方跟你喫飯，也不能跟你喝水；

曰、我不得與爾歸、入爾室、亦不食餅飲水於此、

曰、我不得與爾歸、入爾室、亦不得食餅飲水於伯特利。

曰、我不得與爾歸入爾家、亦不得在此處偕爾食餅飲水、

The man of God said,“ I cannot turn back and go with you, nor can I eat bread or drink water with you in this place.

The man of God said,“ I can’t go back to Bethel with you. I can’t eat bread or drink water with you there.

And he said,“ I may not return with you, or go in with you, neither will I eat bread nor drink water with you in this place,

“ No, I cannot,” he replied.“ I am not allowed to eat or drink anything here in this place.

But he answered,“ I cannot go back with you or accompany you; I will not eat food or drink water with you in this place.

But he said,“ I cannot return with you, nor come with you, nor will I eat bread or drink water with you in this place.

And he said,“ I cannot return with you nor go in with you; neither can I eat bread nor drink water with you in this place.

And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee; neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:

But he answered,“ I cannot go back with you, eat bread, or drink water with you in this place,

And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:

But he replied,“ I can’t go back with you or eat and drink with you in this place.

The man of God said to the king,“ Even if you gave me half of your house, I would not go in with you, neither would I eat bread nor drink water in this place;for so was it commanded me by Yahweh’s word, saying,‘ You shall eat no bread, drink no water, and don’t return by the way that you came.’”

Now therefore please stay here tonight as well, that I may know what else Yahweh will speak to me.”

Then Jesus said to him,“ Get behind me, Satan! For it is written,‘ You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’”

But he turned, and said to Peter,“ Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of men.”

Now the serpent was more subtle than any animal of the field which Yahweh God had made. He said to the woman,“ Has God really said,‘ You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?”The woman said to the serpent,“ We may eat fruit from the trees of the garden,but not the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God has said,‘ You shall not eat of it. You shall not touch it, lest you die.’”

Balaam rose up in the morning, and said to the princes of Balak,“ Go to your land; for Yahweh refuses to permit me to go with you.”
