He instituted a festival on the fifteenth day of the eighth month, like the festival held in Judah, and offered sacrifices on the altar. This he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves he had made. And at Bethel he also installed priests at the high places he had made.

He established a feast. It was on the 15th day of the eighth month. He wanted to make it like the Feast of Booths that was held in Judah. Jeroboam built an altar at Bethel. He offered sacrifices on it. He sacrificed to the calves he had made. He also put priests in Bethel. He did it at the high places he had made.

And Jeroboam appointed a feast on the fifteenth day of the eighth month like the feast that was in Judah, and he offered sacrifices on the altar. So he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves that he made. And he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places that he had made.

又曰、告以色列族云、七月之望、歷至七日、為搆廬之節期、以奉事我、首日有聖會、毋操作、此七日間、日獻燔祭、以奉事我、越至八日、為聖會之大日、工作咸止、宜獻燔祭、以奉事我。今所言者乃我之節期、必守聖會、以獻燔祭、而奉事我、其燔祭、禮物、灌奠之酒、日必獻之、各遵所宜。外此更當守我安息日、亦必償爾所許之願、樂輸、禮物、以獻於我。七月之望、田園所產、斂藏既畢、必守節期、歷至七日、以奉事我、首日為安息、八日亦為安息、首日爾必取佳木之果、棗樹之條、喬木之枝、溪旁之柳、欣喜歡忭於我耶和華爾之上帝前、歷至七日。每歲七月間、必守七日為節期、以奉事我、著為永例、歷代勿替。凡爾宗族、居處是廬、必歷七日、俾爾子孫永憶弗忘、我導爾出埃及時、曾使爾居廬也、我耶和華爾之上帝所命如此。摩西以耶和華之節期、宣播於眾。

昔斯民以其殿之門柱門橛與我殿之門柱門橛相連、惟間以壁、恆作不端、玷我聖名、故我震怒、殲滅殆盡、
