Jeroboam thought to himself,“ The kingdom will now likely revert to the house of David.

Jeroboam thought,“ My kingdom still isn’t secure. It could very easily go back to the royal family of David.

And Jeroboam said in his heart,“ Now the kingdom will turn back to the house of David.

Jeroboam thought to himself,“ Unless I am careful, the kingdom will return to the dynasty of David.

Jeroboam said to himself,“ The kingdom might now return to the house of David.

Jeroboam then thought to himself:“ Now the Davidic dynasty could regain the kingdom.

But if you do not surrender to the officers of the king of Babylon, then this city will be handed over to the Chaldeans; and they will burn it with fire, and you yourself will not escape from their hands.’ ”Then King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah,“ I am in fear of the Jews who have deserted to the Chaldeans, for they may hand me over to them, and they will abuse me.”But Jeremiah said,“ They will not turn you over. Please obey the Lord in what I am saying to you, so that it may go well for you and you may live.But if you keep refusing to surrender, this is the word which the Lord has shown me:

saying,“ What are we to do with these men? For the fact that a noteworthy miracle has taken place through them is apparent to all who live in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.But so that it will not spread any further among the people, let’s warn them not to speak any longer to any person in this name.”

and the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you will not believe, you certainly shall not last.” ’ ”

Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself,“ If this man were a prophet He would know who and what sort of person this woman is who is touching Him, that she is a sinner!”

So the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see that you are not accomplishing anything; look, the world has gone after Him!”
