耶和華云、此我所使、爾毋往與同族兄弟以色列族戰、各歸故土。民從耶和華命而歸。○

主如是云、此事出乎我、爾勿往、往原文作上勿與同族同族原文作兄弟以色列人戰、各歸己家、民遂聽主言、遵主命而歸、○

‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not go up to fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Go home, every one of you, for this is my doing.’” So they obeyed the word of the Lord and went home again, as the Lord had ordered.

‘ The Lord says,“ Do not go up to fight against the Israelites. They are your relatives. I want every one of you to go back home. Things have happened exactly the way I planned them.” ’ ” So the fighting men obeyed the Lord’ s message. They went home again, just as he had ordered.

‘ Thus says the Lord, You shall not go up or fight against your relatives the people of Israel. Every man return to his home, for this thing is from me.’” So they listened to the word of the Lord and went home again, according to the word of the Lord.

‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not fight against your relatives, the Israelites. Go back home, for what has happened is my doing!’” So they obeyed the message of the Lord and went home, as the Lord had commanded.

‘ This is what the LORD says: You are not to march up and fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you return home, for this situation is from me.’” So they listened to the word of the LORD and went back according to the word of the LORD.

‘ This is what the Lord says:“ You shall not go up nor fight against your relatives the sons of Israel; return, every man to his house, for this thing has come from Me.” ’ ” So they listened to the word of the Lord, and returned to go their way in accordance with the word of the Lord.

‘ Thus says the Lord:“ You shall not go up nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel. Let every man return to his house, for this thing is from Me.”’” Therefore they obeyed the word of the Lord, and turned back, according to the word of the Lord.

Thus saith Jehovah, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is of me. So they hearkened unto the word of Jehovah, and returned and went their way, according to the word of Jehovah.

‘ This is what the Lord says: You are not to march up and fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you must return home, for I have done this.’” So they listened to what the Lord said and went back as He had told them.

Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the LORD, and returned to depart, according to the word of the LORD.

‘ The LORD says this:“ Do not attack and make war with your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you go home, for I have caused this to happen.”’” They obeyed the LORD and went home as the LORD had ordered them to do.

‘ Yahweh says,“ You shall not go up or fight against your brothers, the children of Israel. Everyone return to his house; for this thing is from me.”’” So they listened to Yahweh’s word, and returned and went their way, according to Yahweh’s word.

王不肯聽從民眾的請求，因為這個轉變是出於耶和華，為要應驗他藉示羅人亞希雅對尼八的兒子耶羅波安所說的話。

於是亞瑪謝把那從以法蓮來的雇傭兵解散了，遣送他們回家；因此他們非常惱怒猶大人，就氣沖沖地回家去了。

你們不要上去，因為耶和華不在你們中間，免得你們在仇敵面前被殺敗。

那裡有一位耶和華的先知名叫俄德，出來迎接回到撒瑪利亞來的軍隊，對他們說：“耶和華你們列祖的神因為惱怒猶大人，才把他們交在你們手裡，你們卻怒氣沖天，殺戮了他們。現在你們又想強迫猶大人和耶路撒冷人作你們的奴婢。難道你們自己就沒有得罪耶和華你們的神嗎？你們現在要聽我的話，把你們擄回來的兄弟釋放回去，因為耶和華的震怒已經臨到你們身上了。”於是以法蓮人的幾個首領，就是約哈難的兒子亞撒利雅、米實利末的兒子比利家、沙龍的兒子耶希西家和哈得萊的兒子亞瑪撒，起來阻擋從戰場回來的軍隊，對他們說：“你們不可把這些俘虜帶進來，因為我們已經得罪了耶和華，你們想增加我們的罪惡和過犯，我們的過犯實在嚴重，耶和華的震怒臨到以色列人身上了。”於是，軍隊把俘虜和戰利品都留在眾領袖和全體會眾的面前。上面提過的那些人就起來，領走那些俘虜，從戰利品中拿出衣服給所有赤身的穿著，給他們穿上鞋，給他們吃喝，又給他們抹油，又把所有疲弱的人放在驢子上，把他們送回棕樹城耶利哥他們的兄弟那裡，然後就回撒瑪利亞去了。

‘耶和華這樣說：你們不可上去，也不可和你們的兄弟交戰。你們各自回家去吧，因為這事是出於我。’”於是他們聽從耶和華的話，都回家，不去攻打耶羅波安。

有一位神人來見亞瑪謝，說：“王啊，請不要領以色列的軍隊和你同去，因為耶和華不和以色列人，不和任何以法蓮的子孫同在。即使你一定要去，奮勇爭戰，神也會使你在敵人面前覆滅，因為神有能力幫助人，也有能力使人覆滅。”

“他們立了君王，卻不是出於我；他們立了首領，我卻不知道。他們用自己的金銀為自己做了偶像，以致他們被剪除。

有一次，耶羅波安從耶路撒冷出來，示羅人亞希雅先知在路上遇見他。亞希雅身上穿著一件新衣，那時田野裡只有他們二人。亞希雅拿著自己身上所穿的新衣，把它撕成十二片，對耶羅波安說：“你拿十片去吧！因為耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘看哪，我必從所羅門的手裡把國奪去，把十個支派賜給你。但是為了我的僕人大衛和為了我從以色列眾支派中所揀選的耶路撒冷的緣故，所羅門仍然可以擁有一個支派。因為他們離棄了我，去敬拜西頓人的女神亞斯他錄、摩押人的神基抹和亞捫人的神米勒公，沒有遵行我的道，行我眼中看為正的事，謹守我的律例典章，像他的父親大衛一樣。但是，我不會把整個國家從他的手裡奪去，我必使他終身作人君，是因我所揀選的僕人大衛謹守了我的誡命律例的緣故。我要從他兒子的手中把國奪去，賜給你十個支派。至於所羅門的兒子，我要給他一個支派，好使我的僕人大衛在我所揀選立我名的城耶路撒冷，在我面前常常有燈光。我要揀選你，使你可以照心裡想望的去統治。你必作以色列的王。你若是聽從我吩咐你的一切，遵行我的道，行我看為正的事，謹守我的律例誡命，像我的僕人大衛所行的一樣，我就與你同在，為你建立一個鞏固的朝代，像我為大衛建立的一樣，並且我要把以色列賜給你。
