But this word of God came to Shemaiah the man of God:

But a message from God came to Shemaiah. He was a man of God. God said to him,

But God told Shemaiah the prophet,

But Yahweh’s word came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,

The woman said to Elijah,“ Now I know that you are a man of God, and that Yahweh’s word in your mouth is truth.”

He said,“ At this season, when the time comes around, you will embrace a son.” She said,“ No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your servant.”

Now Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, who were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them,“ Yahweh says,‘ You have forsaken me, therefore I have also left you in the hand of Shishak.’”Then the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said,“ Yahweh is righteous.”When Yahweh saw that they humbled themselves, Yahweh’s word came to Shemaiah, saying,“ They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them; but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath won’t be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

When she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught hold of his feet. Gehazi came near to thrust her away; but the man of God said,“ Leave her alone; for her soul is troubled within her; and Yahweh has hidden it from me, and has not told me.”

This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

Behold, a man of God came out of Judah by Yahweh’s word to Bethel; and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

She said to Elijah,“ What have I to do with you, you man of God? You have come to me to bring my sin to memory, and to kill my son!”

So she went, and came to the man of God to Mount Carmel. When the man of God saw her afar off, he said to Gehazi his servant,“ Behold, there is the Shunammite.

She called to her husband, and said,“ Please send me one of the servants, and one of the donkeys, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.”

When the king heard the saying of the man of God, which he cried against the altar in Bethel, Jeroboam put out his hand from the altar, saying,“ Seize him!” His hand, which he put out against him, dried up, so that he could not draw it back again to himself.The altar was also split apart, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by Yahweh’s word.

Now an old prophet lived in Bethel, and one of his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel. They also told their father the words which he had spoken to the king.
