When Jeroboam son of Nebat heard this( he was still in Egypt, where he had fled from King Solomon), he returned from Egypt.

Jeroboam heard about it. He was the son of Nebat. Jeroboam was still in Egypt at that time. He had gone there for safety. He wanted to get away from King Solomon. But now he returned from Egypt.

And as soon as Jeroboam the son of Nebat heard of it( for he was still in Egypt, where he had fled from King Solomon), then Jeroboam returned from Egypt.

When Jeroboam son of Nebat heard of this, he returned from Egypt, for he had fled to Egypt to escape from King Solomon.

When Jeroboam son of Nebat heard about it, he stayed in Egypt, where he had fled from King Solomon’s presence. Jeroboam stayed in Egypt.

所羅門王的臣僕，尼八的兒子耶羅波安也舉手攻擊王。他是洗利達的以法蓮人，他母親是個寡婦，名叫洗魯雅。他舉手攻擊王的情形是這樣的：所羅門重建米羅，修補他父親大衛城的破口；耶羅波安這個人原是個有才幹的人。所羅門見這個年輕人作事殷勤，就派他管理約瑟家的所有奴工。有一次，耶羅波安從耶路撒冷出來，示羅人亞希雅先知在路上遇見他。亞希雅身上穿著一件新衣，那時田野裡只有他們二人。亞希雅拿著自己身上所穿的新衣，把它撕成十二片，對耶羅波安說：“你拿十片去吧！因為耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘看哪，我必從所羅門的手裡把國奪去，把十個支派賜給你。

那時，尼八的兒子耶羅波安，因為逃避所羅門王，住在埃及；他一聽見這事，就從埃及回來。他們派人去叫耶羅波安回來；他就和全體以色列人來見羅波安，對他說：
