So the king did not listen to the people, for this turn of events was from the Lord, to fulfill the word the Lord had spoken to Jeroboam son of Nebat through Ahijah the Shilonite.

So the king didn’t listen to the people. That’s because the Lord had planned it that way. What he had said through Ahijah came true. Ahijah had spoken the Lord’ s message to Jeroboam, the son of Nebat. Ahijah was from Shiloh.

今主使神感爾眾先知、使俱妄言、其實主有言、必降禍於爾、

惟居耶路撒冷者、及其有司、不知耶穌為基督、亦不知每安息日所讀先知之言、是以擬之以死罪、適應先知所言、雖未見其有當死之罪、仍求彼拉多殺之、既應經所載指之之言、則由木取之下而葬、

兵卒至、將與耶穌同釘之二人、一一折其股、及至耶穌前、見其已死、因不折其股、一卒以戈刺其脅、即有血與水流出、見者為證、其證乃真、自知所言為真、使爾曹信也、斯事得成、為應經所載云、其骨不折、又載云、人將觀其所刺者、○

兄弟乎、我知爾行此、乃出於無知、爾之有司亦如是、

世間萬民、視若虛無、天上萬軍、世上萬民、隨意而待、無能禦之、無能詰之曰、爾何為、

以成爾權爾旨預定之事、

遂返告耶戶、耶戶曰、此應主藉其僕提斯比人以利亞所言者、云、耶洗別必在耶斯烈田、為犬所食、

耶穌被解、循天主預知及天主定旨、爾曹借惡人之手、取而釘之死、

邑中吹角、民豈不驚乎、邑中有禍、豈非主所降乎、

爾自謂、我必升天、設位在天主眾星之上、坐於聚會之山、在北之極處、升於雲霄、與至上者相比、今爾下示阿勒、墮於坑塹、見爾者必細觀爾、注目視爾曰、震動天下、驚擾列國、使世界荒涼、傾毀城邑、不釋俘囚返故土者、非斯人乎、
