耶和華曾告訴以色列人不可跟這些外族人通婚，免得受引誘去隨從他們的神明，所羅門卻迷戀這些女子。他有七百個妻子，都是外國的公主，還有三百個妃嬪。這些女子使他的心背棄耶和華。所羅門年老的時候，他的嬪妃誘惑他的心去追隨別的神明。他沒有像他父親大衛那樣忠心順服他的上帝耶和華。

守喪結束後，大衛便派人把她接進宮裡，她就做了大衛的妻子，並給他生了個兒子。然而，大衛的所作所為令耶和華十分不悅。

要一絲不苟地守護你的心，因為生命之泉從心中湧出。

耶和華對亞倫非常憤怒，以致要殺掉他，於是我也為他祈求。

耶和華向摩西發怒說：「利未人亞倫不是你哥哥嗎？他是個能言善辯的人，正要來迎接你。他見到你一定很歡喜。

他們建造邱壇，惹祂發怒；他們豎起神像，令祂憤怒。上帝知道了他們的惡行，怒不可遏，徹底棄絕了以色列人。祂離棄了設在示羅的聖幕，就是祂在人間的居所。

但因你們的緣故，耶和華向我發怒，不聽我的懇求，祂對我說，『夠了，不要再跟我提這件事。

主說：「這些人嘴上親近我，尊崇我，心卻遠離我。他們敬拜我不過是遵行人定的規條。所以，我要再次行奇妙無比的事，使他們震驚。他們智者的智慧必泯滅，明哲的聰明必消失。」

因為他們會讓你們的兒女離棄耶和華去拜其他神明，以致耶和華向你們發怒，迅速毀滅你們。

在何烈山，你們觸怒了耶和華，以致祂要毀滅你們。

因為底馬貪愛世界，離棄我跑到帖撒羅尼迦去了。革勒士去了加拉太，提多去了撻馬太，

上帝也不喜悅這事，便降災給以色列人。

你的怒氣使我們滅亡，你的憤怒使我們戰抖。你知道我們的罪惡，對我們隱秘的罪瞭若指掌。

耶和華上帝就向烏撒發怒，因他的不敬而擊殺了他。他死在了約櫃旁邊。

沉溺酒色，喪失心志。
