Then he rested with his ancestors and was buried in the city of David his father. And Rehoboam his son succeeded him as king.

Rehoboam was forty- one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which Yahweh had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. His mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonitess.

He will be buried with the burial of a donkey, drawn and cast out beyond the gates of Jerusalem.”
