I will give one tribe to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to put my Name.

I will give one of the tribes to David’s son. Then my servant David will always have a son on his throne in Jerusalem. The lamp of David’s kingdom will always burn brightly in my sight. Jerusalem is the city I chose for my Name.

昔耶和華許厥僕大闢、爰及子孫、歷世有光、故猶大一族、不行翦滅。

緣大闢之故、上帝耶和華、使彼在耶路撒冷歷世有光、立其子繼國位、則耶路撒冷之邑、歷久不廢。

亦不奪其全土、乃因我僕大闢、亦因我所選之耶路撒冷故、必遺一支派、以予爾子。

在彼必使大闢崢嶸厥角、沐以膏者、歷代有光兮。

耶和華昔與大闢約、俾歷代有光、故大闢之家不殲滅。

西魯雅子亞庇篩救之、殺非利士人、於是大闢僕從誓曰、斯後爾斷不可往戰、恐滅以色列族之光。

必昌熾爾後、綿長爾祚、永世弗替。

為我挺拯救之角、於其臣大闢家、如主托古聖先知所言、

其言曰、大闢之宅、已傾圮矣、今而後、我將反而復起之、復起其頹垣而再建之、令其餘民、及奉我名之異邦人尋主、此乃主行之之言也、

告之曰、爾祈禱於我前、我聞之矣、爾所建之殿、為永籲我名之所、我使之成聖、我將目睹心思、恆久不已。

我主耶和華有言、錫嘏於爾僕之家、備於爾前、永世靡暨、今我禱告、願爾前言是踐。

大闢之宅、已傾圮矣、今而後、我將復起之、而彌其隙、復起其頹垣、而再建之、與昔無異、使以東之遺民、及奉我名之異邦人、俱歸我民、我耶和華言之、必行之、

耶和華又曰、大闢必有後、踐以色列國位。祭司利未人、未嘗乏人、常獻燔祭禮物於我前。耶和華諭耶利米曰、我已立約、晝夜不失其時、如此約可廢。則我與僕大闢約、言必有後、以踐國位、及我與利未人祭司約、言不乏人、以服事我、斯約亦可廢。

緣我僕大闢、又緣我所簡之耶路撒冷、在以色列族中者、我必以一支派予大闢後裔。

見爾所至者、郇山、永生上帝邑、天上之耶路撒冷、有天使咸集、不下數萬、

我感聖神時、天使攜我至一山、截然高大、示我聖耶路撒冷大邑、上帝使自天降、

賴吾上帝、以矜恤之心、使旭日自上臨我、居幽暗陰翳者光照之、導我履平康之道矣、○

夏甲者亞喇伯之西乃山也、即今耶路撒冷與其人皆為奴、惟在上之耶路撒冷不為奴、我眾之母也、
