I will give one tribe to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to put my Name.

I will give one of the tribes to David’s son. Then my servant David will always have a son on his throne in Jerusalem. The lamp of David’s kingdom will always burn brightly in my sight. Jerusalem is the city I chose for my Name.

Yet to his son I will give one tribe, that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I have chosen to put my name.

現在求你賜福與僕人的家，可以永存在你面前。主耶和華啊，這是你所應許的。願你永遠賜福與僕人的家！」

到那日，我必建立大衛倒塌的帳幕，堵住其中的破口，把那破壞的建立起來，重新修造，像古時一樣，使以色列人得以東所餘剩的和所有稱為我名下的國。此乃行這事的耶和華說的。

「因為耶和華如此說：大衛必永不斷人坐在以色列家的寶座上；祭司、利未人在我面前也不斷人獻燔祭、燒素祭，時常辦理獻祭的事。」耶和華的話臨到耶利米說：「耶和華如此說：你們若能廢棄我所立白日黑夜的約，使白日黑夜不按時輪轉，就能廢棄我與我僕人大衛所立的約，使他沒有兒子在他的寶座上為王，並能廢棄我與事奉我的祭司、利未人所立的約。

我因僕人大衛和我在以色列眾支派中所選擇的耶路撒冷城的緣故，仍給所羅門留一個支派。）

你們乃是來到錫安山，永生神的城邑，就是天上的耶路撒冷。那裏有千萬的天使，

我被聖靈感動，天使就帶我到一座高大的山，將那由神那裏、從天而降的聖城耶路撒冷指示我。

因我們神憐憫的心腸，叫清晨的日光從高天臨到我們，要照亮坐在黑暗中死蔭裏的人，把我們的腳引到平安的路上。

這夏甲二字是指着阿拉伯的西奈山，與現在的耶路撒冷同類，因耶路撒冷和她的兒女都是為奴的。但那在上的耶路撒冷是自主的，她是我們的母。
