耶和华在米甸对摩西说：“你只管放心回埃及去，想害你性命的人都已经死了。”

约瑟送弟兄们回去，嘱咐他们路上不要争吵。

“起来，带着孩子和祂母亲回以色列去吧！因为要杀害孩子的人已经死了。”

耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅就去把约押杀死，葬在旷野约押自己的墓地。

次日黎明时分，撒母耳呼唤屋顶上的扫罗：“起来吧，我该送你上路了。”于是扫罗起床后，与撒母耳一起往外走。

喇合答道：“一言为定！”于是她送走他们，把朱红色的绳子系在窗户上。

押尼珥对大卫说：“我要为我主我王招聚所有的以色列人，跟你立约，你便可以如愿以偿，统治全以色列。”于是大卫为他送行，他就平安地回去了。
