法老赐给约瑟一个名字叫撒发那忒·巴内亚，又把安城祭司波提非拉的女儿亚西纳赐给他为妻。约瑟巡视了整个埃及。

就赏识他，让他服侍自己，派他管理自己家中一切事务。

约瑟坐牢的时候，耶和华与他同在，恩待他，使监狱长赏识他。
