故此永恆主對他說：『你既以這事為念，不遵守我的約和律例、就是我所吩咐你守的，那麼我就一定從你手裏撕裂你的國、而賜給你的臣僕。

故耶和華諭之曰、爾既行是、不守我約、及我命爾之典章、我必奪爾國祚、以予爾僕、

故復諭之曰、因爾行是、不守我約、及我所諭之禮儀、我必奪爾國祚、以予爾僕。

故主諭所羅門曰、爾既行是、不守我所命爾之約、及我之律例、我必奪爾國以賜爾僕、

So the Lord said to Solomon,“ Since this is your attitude and you have not kept my covenant and my decrees, which I commanded you, I will most certainly tear the kingdom away from you and give it to one of your subordinates.

So the Lord said to Solomon,“ You have chosen not to keep my covenant. You have decided not to obey my rules. I commanded you to do what I told you. But you did not do it. So you can be absolutely sure I will tear the kingdom away from you. I will give it to one of your officials.

Therefore the Lord said to Solomon,“ Since this has been your practice and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes that I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and will give it to your servant.

So now the Lord said to him,“ Since you have not kept my covenant and have disobeyed my decrees, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to one of your servants.

Then the LORD said to Solomon,“ Since you have done this and did not keep my covenant and my statutes, which I commanded you, I will tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.

So the Lord said to Solomon,“ Since you have done this, and you have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will certainly tear the kingdom away from you, and will give it to your servant.

Therefore the Lord said to Solomon,“ Because you have done this, and have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.

Wherefore Jehovah said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

Then the Lord said to Solomon,“ Since you have done this and did not keep My covenant and My statutes, which I commanded you, I will tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.

Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

So the LORD said to Solomon,“ Because you insist on doing these things and have not kept the covenantal rules I gave you, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.

Therefore Yahweh said to Solomon,“ Because this is done by you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.

王不依从百姓，因这事件是出于耶和华，为要应验耶和华藉示罗人亚希雅对尼八的儿子耶罗波安所说的话。以色列众人见王不依从他们，百姓就回话给王，说：“我们在大卫中有什么份呢？我们在耶西的儿子中没有产业！以色列啊，回你的帐棚去吧！大卫啊，现在你顾自己的家吧！”于是，以色列人都回自己的帐棚去了；

对耶罗波安说：“你可以拿十片。耶和华—以色列的上帝如此说：‘看哪，我必从所罗门手里撕裂这国，把十个支派赐给你。

以色列众人听见耶罗波安回来了，就派人去请他到会众那里，立他作全以色列的王。除了犹大支派，没有跟从大卫家的。

因此，耶和华—以色列的上帝说：‘我确实说过，你和你祖宗的家必永远行在我面前，但现在耶和华却说，我绝不会这样做。因为尊重我的，我必尊重他；藐视我的，他必被轻视。看哪，日子将到，我要折断你的膀臂和你祖宗家的膀臂，使你家中没有一个老年人。你在以色列人享福的时候必看见我居所的衰败，你家中必永远没有一个老年人。

我—耶和华说过，我必这样对待这一切聚集对抗我的邪恶会众。他们必在这旷野中消灭，死在这里。”

主说：“因这百姓以口亲近我，用嘴唇尊敬我，心却远离我；他们敬畏我，不过是领受前人的命令。所以，看哪，我要在这百姓中行奇妙的事，就是奇妙又奇妙的事。他们智慧人的智慧必然消灭，聪明人的聪明必然消失。”

当他使以色列从大卫家分离出来的时候，他们立尼八的儿子耶罗波安作王。耶罗波安引诱以色列不随从耶和华，陷入大罪中。

撒母耳对扫罗说：“我不同你回去，因为你厌弃耶和华的命令，耶和华也厌弃你作以色列的王。”撒母耳转身要走，扫罗抓住他外袍的衣角，外袍就断裂了。撒母耳对他说：“今日耶和华使以色列国与你断绝，把这国赐给另一个比你更好的人。

他们绝不能看见我向他们祖宗所起誓应许之地；凡藐视我的，一个也不得看见。

撒母耳对扫罗说：“你做了糊涂事了，没有遵守耶和华—你上帝吩咐你的命令。不然，耶和华会在以色列中坚立你的国度，直到永远。现在你的国度必不长久。耶和华已经寻着一个合他心意的人，立他作百姓的君王，因为你没有遵守耶和华所吩咐你的。”

你为什么藐视耶和华的命令，做他眼中看为恶的事呢？你用刀击杀赫人乌利亚，又娶了他的妻子为妻，借亚扪人的刀杀死他。现在刀剑必永不离开你的家，因你藐视我，娶了赫人乌利亚的妻子为妻。’耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我必从你家中兴起灾祸攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给你身边的人，他要在光天化日下与你的妃嫔同寝。你在暗中做那事，我却要在以色列众人面前，在日光之下做这事。’”
