Now Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard it as they finished eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the horn, he said,“ Why is the city in such a noisy uproar?”

Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard it as they were finishing their feast. On hearing the sound of the trumpet, Joab asked,“ What’s the meaning of all the noise in the city?”

Adonijah and all his guests heard it. They were just finishing their meal. Joab heard the sound of the trumpet. So he asked,“ What does all this noise in the city mean?”

Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard it as they finished feasting. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said,“ What does this uproar in the city mean?”

Adonijah and his guests heard the celebrating and shouting just as they were finishing their banquet. When Joab heard the sound of the ram’s horn, he asked,“ What’s going on? Why is the city in such an uproar?”

Adonijah and all the invited guests who were with him heard the noise as they finished eating. Joab heard the sound of the ram’s horn and said,“ Why is the town in such an uproar?”

Now Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard this as they finished eating. When Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said,“ Why is the city making such an uproar?”

And Adonijah and all the guests that were with him heard it as they had made an end of eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, Wherefore is this noise of the city being in an uproar?

Adonijah and all the invited guests who were with him heard the noise as they finished eating. Joab heard the sound of the ram’s horn and said,“ Why is the town in such an uproar?”

And Adonijah and all the guests that[ were] with him heard[ it] as they had made an end of eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, Wherefore[ is this] noise of the city being in an uproar?

Now Adonijah and all his guests heard the commotion just as they had finished eating. When Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he asked,“ Why is there such a noisy commotion in the city?”

Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard it as they had finished eating. When Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said,“ Why is this noise of the city being in an uproar?”

But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying,“ Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant

Even in laughter the heart may sorrow, And the end of mirth may be grief.

Dreadful sounds are in his ears; In prosperity the destroyer comes upon him.He does not believe that he will return from darkness, For a sword is waiting for him.

For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction.Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.As a dream when one awakes, So, Lord, when You awake, You shall despise their image.

And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.

Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:“ Hosanna to the Son of David!‘ Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!”And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying,“ Who is this?”So the multitudes said,“ This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.”

And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses,“ There is a noise of war in the camp.”

Now as they were seeking to kill him, news came to the commander of the garrison that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.

The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, But the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise Than for a man to hear the song of fools.For like the crackling of thorns under a pot, So is the laughter of the fool. This also is vanity.

That the triumphing of the wicked is short, And the joy of the hypocrite is but for a moment?
