國中之民全都歡喜快樂，合城也都平靜；人已經在王宮裏用刀將亞他利雅殺死了。

以上這些人都是能守行伍的戰士；他們都全心全意到希伯崙、要擁立大衛為王來管理以色列眾人；其餘的以色列人也都一心一意要擁立大衛為王。他們在那裏三天、和大衛在一起，也喫也喝；因為他們的族弟兄給他們豫備了。在他們附近的人、甚至以薩迦、西布倫、拿弗他利人、也帶了食物來，用驢、駱駝、騾子、牛、將麵食、無花果乾、葡萄乾、酒、油、馱了來，又牽了許多牛和羊來；因為以色列中很歡樂。

她一看，只見王竟照儀式站在柱旁；首領們和吹號筒的人都侍立在王左右；國中之民全都歡喜快樂，吹着號筒；亞他利雅一看見，就撕裂衣服，喊叫說：『反了！反了！』

你們一聽見號角、簫笛、琵琶、琴、瑟、風笛、和各樣樂器的聲音，就當俯伏、向尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像下拜；

永恆主作王；願地快樂；願沿海眾島嶼都歡喜。

第七位天使吹了號筒；天上就有大聲音說：『世界的國已成了我們的主和他所膏立的基督的國了；他必掌王權、世世無窮。』那些在上帝面前、坐在他們座位上的二十四位長老、都面伏於地、敬拜上帝說：『今在昔在的主上帝，全能者啊，我們感謝你；因為你已執掌你的大權能而作王了。列國發怒，但你報應之怒臨到了；死人受判罰的時候到了；你將賞報賜給你的僕人們、神言人們和聖徒、以及敬畏你名的人、小的大的、時候到了；你毁壞那些敗壞大地的人、時候到了！』
