眾百姓就到了吉甲那裏，在耶和華面前立掃羅為王，又在耶和華面前獻平安祭。掃羅和以色列眾人大大歡喜。

以上都是能守行伍的戰士，他們都誠心來到希伯崙，要立大衛作以色列的王。以色列其餘的人也都一心要立大衛作王。他們在那裏三日，與大衛一同吃喝，因為他們的族弟兄給他們預備了。靠近他們的人以及以薩迦、西布倫、拿弗他利人將許多麵餅、無花果餅、乾葡萄、酒、油，用驢、駱駝、騾子、牛馱來，又帶了許多的牛和羊來，因為以色列人甚是歡樂。

看見王照例站在柱旁，百夫長和吹號的人侍立在王左右，國中的眾民歡樂吹號；亞她利雅就撕裂衣服，喊叫說：「反了！反了！」

你們一聽見角、笛、琵琶、琴、瑟、笙，和各樣樂器的聲音，就當俯伏敬拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。

耶和華作王！願地快樂！願眾海島歡喜！

第七位天使吹號，天上就有大聲音說：世上的國成了我主和主基督的國；他要作王，直到永永遠遠。在神面前，坐在自己位上的二十四位長老，就面伏於地，敬拜神，說：昔在、今在的主神－全能者啊，我們感謝你！因你執掌大權作王了。外邦發怒，你的忿怒也臨到了；審判死人的時候也到了。你的僕人眾先知和眾聖徒，凡敬畏你名的人，連大帶小得賞賜的時候也到了。你敗壞那些敗壞世界之人的時候也就到了。
