於是，他們來到吉甲，在耶和華面前立掃羅為王，又向耶和華獻上平安祭。掃羅和全體以色列人都非常歡喜。

錫安城啊，要充滿喜樂！耶路撒冷城啊，要歡呼！看啊，你的王到你這裡來了！祂是公義、得勝的王，謙卑地騎著驢，騎著一頭驢駒。

祂正走下橄欖山，將近耶路撒冷的時候，眾門徒因為以往所見的神蹟奇事，就歡騰起來，高聲讚美上帝：

民眾都歡喜快樂，城裡安定，因為亞她利雅已在王宮那裡被處死。

以上這些人都是能征善戰的勇士，他們誠心誠意地到希伯崙擁立大衛做以色列王，其餘的以色列人也都萬眾一心地要立大衛做王。他們在那裡與大衛一起吃喝了三天，因為他們的親族為他們預備了食物。他們周圍的人，遠至以薩迦、西布倫和拿弗他利支派的人，都用驢、駱駝、騾子和牛馱來麵餅、無花果餅、葡萄乾、酒和油，又牽來許多牛和羊，以色列境內充滿了歡樂。

她看見王照例站在柱旁，百夫長和吹號的人侍立在王左右，眾人都歡呼吹號，便撕裂衣服喊叫：「反了！反了！」

『你們一聽見角、笛、弦琴、豎琴、瑟、笙等各種樂器奏響，就要叩拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。

耶和華掌權，大地要歡欣！眾海島要快樂！

第七位天使吹響號角的時候，天上有大聲音說：「世上的國度現在已經屬於我們的主和祂所立的基督了。祂要作王，直到永永遠遠。」在上帝面前，坐在自己座位上的二十四位長老都一同俯伏敬拜上帝，說：「主啊！昔在、今在的全能上帝啊！我們感謝你，因你已施展大能作王了。世上的列國曾向你發怒，現在是你向他們發烈怒的日子了。時候已到，你要審判死人，你要賞賜你的奴僕、先知、聖徒和一切不論尊卑敬畏你名的人，你要毀滅那些毀壞世界的人。」
