Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the sacred tent and anointed Solomon. Then they sounded the trumpet and all the people shouted,“ Long live King Solomon!”

Zadok the priest had taken an animal horn from the sacred tent. The horn was filled with olive oil. He anointed Solomon with the oil. A trumpet was blown. All the people shouted,“ May King Solomon live a long time!”

撒母耳對眾民說：『你們看見永恆主所揀選的人沒有？在眾民中沒有一個人能比得上他的。』眾民就大聲歡呼說：『願王萬歲！』

『你要取頭等的香料：就是流質的沒藥五百舍客勒、香肉桂一半、就是二百五十、香菖蒲二百五十、桂皮五百，都按聖所的平，又橄欖油一欣；將這些物品作成聖膏油，就是按作香物者的作法所配合成的香物，是要作為聖膏油的。你要用這膏油膏會棚和法櫃、桌子和桌子的一切器具、燈臺和燈臺的器具、跟香壇、燔祭壇和它的一切器具、洗濯盆和盆座：你要把這些東西分別為聖，好成為至聖；無論甚麼、凡觸着它們的、都會成為聖的。你也要用膏膏亞倫和他的兒子們，好把他們分別為聖、作祭司來事奉我。你要告訴以色列人說：「這油必須保留給我為聖油、做聖膏抹之用、直到萬代。不可倒在平常人的肉身上，也不可按它的成分去作和這個相似的；這膏油是聖別，你們也要以為聖別。人若配合跟這個相似的，或是將這膏油塗在非祭司的平常人身上，這人就必須從他的族人中被剪除。」』

她一看，見王竟站在出入處的柱旁呢；大臣們和吹號筒的人都侍立在王左右；國中眾民全都歡喜快樂、吹着號筒；還有歌唱人用各樣樂器領導頌讚；亞他利雅一看見，就撕裂衣服，說：『反了！反了！』

祭司把王子領了出來，給他戴上王冠，將王徽交給他，稱他為王，用膏膏他；眾人就拍掌說：願王萬歲！』

撒母耳就拿了油角，在他哥哥們中間膏了他；從那一天起、永恆主的靈就大大感動大衛。於是撒母耳起身、往拉瑪去了。

因為他今天已經下去，宰獻了許多公牛、肥畜、和羊，請了王的眾兒子、和軍長、以及祭司亞比亞他；看哪，他們正在亞多尼雅面前喫喝，說：「願亞多尼雅王萬歲！」呢。

他們把王子領出來，給他戴上王冠，將王徽交給他，稱他為王，耶何耶大和兒子們用膏膏他；眾人就說：『願王萬歲！』
