Zadok the priest had taken an animal horn from the sacred tent. The horn was filled with olive oil. He anointed Solomon with the oil. A trumpet was blown. All the people shouted,“ May King Solomon live a long time!”

There Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the tent and anointed Solomon. Then they blew the trumpet, and all the people said,“ Long live King Solomon!”

撒母耳对众民说：“你们看见耶和华所拣选的人没有？在众人中没有一个可与他相比。”众人就大声欢呼：“愿王万岁！”

“你要取最上等的香料，就是流质的没药六公升，香肉桂是没药的一半，就是三公斤，香昌蒲三公斤。肉桂皮六公斤，都要按着圣所的标准重量，又橄榄油四公斤。你要把这些材料制成圣膏油，就是照着香膏配制师的方法配制成的香膏，是要作为圣膏油的。你要用这膏油抹会幕和法柜，桌子和桌子的所有器具，灯台和灯台的器具，以及香坛，燔祭坛和坛上的所有器具，盆和盆座；你要使它们成圣，使它们成为至圣；凡是触着它们的，都要成圣。你也要膏抹亚伦和他的儿子，好使他们成圣，作我的祭司。你要告诉以色列人说：‘你们世世代代要把这油归我为圣膏油。不可倒在常人的身上，也不可照着这配制的分量制相似的膏油；这膏油是圣的，你们也要以它为圣。无论谁配制相似的膏油，或把这膏油抹在外人的身上，这人就一定要从他的族人中被剪除。’”

她一观看，见王站在殿门口的柱旁，众官长和吹号的人在王的周围；国民都欢乐吹号，又有歌唱的人用各种乐器领导众人歌颂。于是亚他利雅撕裂衣服，说：“反了！反了！”

耶何耶大领王子出来，把王冠戴在他的头上，又把约书交给他。他们就拥立他为王，用膏膏他，并且拍掌，说：“愿王万岁！”

撒母耳就拿起盛油的角，在他的兄长中膏立他。从那天起，耶和华的灵就大大感动大卫。后来撒母耳动身往拉玛去了。

今天他下去宰杀了许多公牛、肥畜和羊，又请了王所有的儿子、众军长和亚比亚他祭司。他们正在亚多尼雅面前又吃又喝，说：‘亚多尼雅王万岁。’

于是他们把王子领出来，给他戴上王冠，又把约书交给他，立他为王；耶何耶大和他的众子用膏膏他，并且说：“愿王万岁！”
