于是，撒督祭司、拿单先知、耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅，以及基利提人和比利提人都下去，让所罗门骑上大卫王的骡子，送他到基训。

此后，玛拿西在大卫城外，从谷内基训西边直到鱼门口，建筑城墙，环绕俄斐勒；这墙建得很高。他又在犹大各坚固城内设立将领。

“你们要遵守我的律例。不可使你的牲畜与异类交配；不可在你的田地播下两样的种子；也不可穿两种原料做成的衣服。

哈曼就进去。王对他说：“王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人，当如何待他呢？”哈曼心里说：“王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人，除了我，还有谁呢？”哈曼就对王说：“王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人，当把王所穿的王袍拿来，牵了戴冠的御马，把王袍和御马都交给王一个极尊贵的大臣，吩咐人把王袍给王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人穿上，领他骑着御马走遍城里的广场，在他面前宣告：‘王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人，就是这样待他。’”王对哈曼说：“你速速把这王袍和御马，照你所说的，向坐在朝门的犹太人末底改去做。凡你所说的，一样都不可缺。”于是哈曼把王袍给末底改穿上，领他骑着御马走遍城里的广场，在他面前宣告：“王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人，就是这样待他。”

王派撒督祭司、拿单先知、耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅，以及基利提人和比利提人和所罗门一起去，叫他骑上王的骡子。撒督祭司和拿单先知已经在基训膏他作王了。他们从那里欢呼着上来，城都震动，这就是你们所听见的声音。

那时，哈及的儿子亚多尼雅妄自尊大，说：“我要作王”，就为自己预备座车、骑兵，又派五十人在他前头奔跑。

大卫对亚比筛说：“现在比基利的儿子示巴对我们的危害恐怕比押沙龙更大。你要带领你主的一些仆人追赶他，免得他得了坚固的城镇，在我们眼前逃脱。”约押的人和基利提人、比利提人，以及所有的勇士都跟着亚比筛，从耶路撒冷出去追赶比基利的儿子示巴。

又给约瑟坐他的副座车，在他前面有人呼叫说：“跪下。”于是，法老委派他治理埃及全地。
