And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fatlings by the stone of Zoheleth, which is beside En- rogel; and he called all his brethren, the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah, the king’s servants:

saying, Blessed is the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David’s friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, Long live the king, Long live the king.

Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

Then he brought out the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, Long live the king.

Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before Jehovah in Gilgal; and there they offered sacrifices of peace- offerings before Jehovah; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.

And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:Blessed is the kingdom that cometh, the kingdom of our father David: Hosanna in the highest.

And the multitudes that went before him, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

And they sacrificed sacrifices unto Jehovah, and offered burnt- offerings unto Jehovah, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink- offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel,

Then they brought out the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony, and made him king: and Jehoiada and his sons anointed him; and they said, Long live the king.

and let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel; and blow ye the trumpet, and say, Long live king Solomon.
