耶和華簡爾建殿、為聖所、當謹恪、強志興作。

大闢王告會眾曰、我子所羅門、尚在弱齡、上帝特遴選之、工作甚鉅、蓋殿非為人也、乃為上帝耶和華。

如僕舉目望主、如婢舉目望主母、我則瞻仰我之上帝耶和華、望其矜憫兮、

惟耶和華命我曰、爾四方戰鬥、殺人甚眾、故不可建殿、為籲我名之所、爾將生子、命名所羅門、彼喜平康、在世之日、我必拯之於群敵、錫綏安於以色列族、彼將建殿、為籲我名之所、彼將為我子、我將為其父、立為以色列族王、鞏固其國、永世靡暨。
