Then Nathan said to Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother,“ Have you not heard that Adonijah son of Haggith has become king and our lord David does not know it?

拿單對所羅門的母親拔示巴說：『哈及的兒子亞多尼雅作了王、而我們的主上大衛不知道：這件事你還沒有聽見麼？

拿單告所羅門母拔示巴曰、哈及子亞多尼雅為王、爾未聞之乎、我主大衛未之知也、

拿單告所羅門母拔示巴、曰、吾聞哈及子亞多尼雅即位、我主大闢未之知也。

拿單告所羅門母拔示巴曰、哈及子亞多尼雅為王、爾未聞之乎、我主大衛未知之也、

Then Nathan asked Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother,“ Have you not heard that Adonijah, the son of Haggith, has become king, and our lord David knows nothing about it?

Nathan asked Solomon’s mother Bathsheba,“ Haven’t you heard? Adonijah, the son of Haggith, has made himself king. And King David doesn’t know anything about it.

Then Nathan said to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon,“ Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith has become king and David our lord does not know it?

Then Nathan went to Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother, and asked her,“ Haven’t you heard that Haggith’s son, Adonijah, has made himself king, and our lord David doesn’t even know about it?

Then Nathan said to Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother,“ Have you not heard that Adonijah son of Haggith has become king and our lord David does not know it?

Then Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying,“ Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith has become king, and David our lord does not know it?

So Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying,“ Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith has become king, and David our Lord does not know it?

Then Nathan spake unto Bath- sheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith doth reign, and David our lord knoweth it not?

Wherefore Nathan spake unto Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith doth reign, and David our lord knoweth[ it] not?

Nathan said to Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother,“ Has it been reported to you that Haggith’s son Adonijah has become king behind our master David’s back?

Then Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying,“ Haven’t you heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith reigns, and David our lord doesn’t know it?

the fourth was Adonijah, son of Haggith; the fifth was Shephatiah, son of Abital;

But a son will be born to you; he will be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his surrounding enemies, for his name will be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel during his reign.He is the one who will build a house for My name. He will be My son, and I will be his father. I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’

Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba; he went and slept with her. She gave birth to a son and named him Solomon. The Lord loved him,and He sent a message through Nathan the prophet, who named him Jedidiah, because of the Lord.

When your time comes and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up after you your descendant, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.He will build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.I will be a father to him, and he will be a son to Me. When he does wrong, I will discipline him with a human rod and with blows from others.But My faithful love will never leave him as I removed it from Saul; I removed him from your way.Your house and kingdom will endure before Me forever, and your throne will be established forever.’”Nathan spoke all these words and this entire vision to David.

Then King David said to all the assembly,“ My son Solomon— God has chosen him alone— is young and inexperienced. The task is great because the temple will not be for man but for the Lord God.

“ Yet the Lord God of Israel chose me out of all my father’s household to be king over Israel forever. For He chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah, my father’s household, and from my father’s sons, He was pleased to make me king over all Israel.And out of all my sons— for the Lord has given me many sons— He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the Lord’s kingdom over Israel.
