不過當那位真理的靈來了，他就會引導你們進入一切真理。那時，他不會憑著自己說話，只把所聽到的說出來，並且把那些就要來的事傳講給你們。

他就是真理的靈，是世界不能接受的，因為世界看不到他，也不認識他。而你們認識他，因為他與你們同在，並且要在你們裡面。

至於你，錫安哪，因著我與你立約的血，我必把你的被囚者從無水的坑裡釋放出來！

來到了耶穌面前——他是新約的中保；來到了所灑的血面前——這血比亞伯的血所述說的更美好。

因為這是我的血，是為立約的，為許多人所流的，使罪得赦免。

耶穌對他們說：「這是我的血，是為立約的，為許多人所流的。

他拯救了我們；這不是本於我們所做的義行，而是照著他的憐憫，藉著重生的洗滌和聖靈的更新。

他們唱著一首新歌，說：「你配接受那書卷，配打開它的封印，因為你曾被殺，用自己的血，從各支派、各語言群體、各民族、各國家，為神贖回了人，

在他裡面，我們藉著他的血，得蒙救贖、過犯得到赦免，都是出於神恩典的豐盛。

你們做丈夫的，要愛自己的妻子，就像基督也愛了教會，為她捨棄了自己。基督這麼做，是要藉著話語，用水的洗滌而潔淨教會，使她分別為聖，為要給自己預備一個榮耀的教會，沒有汙漬、皺紋或任何這類的事，卻要她成為聖潔、毫無瑕疵。

因為我的肉是真食物，我的血是真飲物。

耶穌回答她，說：「如果你明白神的恩賜，也知道是誰對你說『給我一點水喝』，你早就求他了，他也把活水給你了。」

我以前也不認識他，但為了讓他向以色列顯明，所以我來用水施洗。」約翰又見證說：「我看到聖靈好像鴿子從天上降臨，停留在他身上。我以前也不認識他，可是那派我用水施洗的對我說：『如果你看見聖靈降臨在誰身上，又停留在誰身上，誰就是用聖靈施洗的那一位。』

晚餐後，他也照樣拿起杯來，說：「這杯是用我的血所立的新約，為你們所流的。

至於第二間會幕，只有大祭司一年進去一次，沒有不帶著血的；這血是為自己和子民無意中犯的罪所獻上的。

信我的人，就如經上所說的，從他的腹中將要湧流出活水的江河。」耶穌這話是指著信他的人所要領受的聖靈而說的。當時，聖靈還沒有臨到，因為耶穌還沒有得榮耀。

就是按照父神的預知，藉著聖靈分別為聖，以致順從耶穌基督，又蒙他寶血所灑的人：願恩典與平安多多地加給你們！

何況一個人踐踏了神的兒子，把那使自己成聖的立約之血看做是俗物，又侮辱了恩典的聖靈，你們想想，這個人難道不該受更厲害的懲罰嗎？

正如大家所承認的，敬神的奧祕是極大的：神以肉身顯現，被聖靈證實，被天使觀看，被傳於萬邦，被世人信仰，被接在榮耀裡。

因為我們聽說了你們在基督耶穌裡的信仰，以及對所有聖徒所懷的愛——

並不是我們愛了神，而是神愛了我們，差派他的兒子來，為我們的罪孽做了平息祭——在這裡就是愛了。
