吾知上帝子臨格、賜我明澈、以識真者、我心與真者交、即上帝子耶穌基督、此真上帝、亦永生、

吾亦知天主聖子實曾降臨、賜吾澈悟、而認識真主、且吾人已與真實無妄之聖子耶穌基督、結為一體；是真天主、是真永生。

We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

我見天開、有一白馬、乘之者、其名忠信真實、其審判與戰、皆以公以義、

昔天主命光由暗而照、今照於我心、以光照人、使其知天主之榮、即在基督面所顯者也、

求我主耶穌基督之天主、榮耀之父、賜爾以智慧默示之神、使爾識主、明爾心目、使爾知天主召爾有望、其望何如、天主以聖徒為業、其榮之豐盛何如、又天主循其大力、顯大能於我儕信者中、其能之大何如、

凡信耶穌為基督者、乃由天主而生、凡愛生之者、必愛其所生者也、

太初所有生命之道、道或作言下同我儕所聞、親目所睹、我儕所觀、親手所捫者、其生命已顯著、我見之為證、而以此永生、即原與父同在、而顯著於我儕者傳於爾、我儕以所見所聞者告爾曹、使爾與我儕心交、我儕與父及其子耶穌基督心交、

人若言己恆居主內、則當效主之所行而行、○

爾曹可陳爾之理、前來彼此議論、斯事誰自古示之、誰自昔告之、非我耶和華乎、我之外別無天主、我乃秉公義施拯救之天主、我之外無他、居地極之民、爾當仰望我以得救、我乃天主、我之外無他、我指己而誓、口出真言、決不反覆、萬膝必向我而屈、萬口必指我而誓、人必論我曰、惟主具有仁義全能、凡逆主者、必至慚愧、終必歸誠於主、凡逆主者必至慚愧終必歸誠於主或作凡人必詣主前逆主者必至慚愧凡以色列族之人、皆因主而稱義、恃主為榮、

大聲呼曰、聖且誠之主歟、不審判居於地之人、為我儕伸流血之冤、將至何時、

爾自始所聞者、當恆存爾中、若自始所聞者、恆存爾中、則爾恆居於子及父內、

從未有人見天主、惟獨生子在父懷者、彰明之、○
