We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.

『我知道你的行為，你力量微小，卻遵守了我的教導，沒有背棄我的名。所以，看啊！我在你面前為你打開了一扇無人能關閉的門。看啊！我要使撒旦的同夥，就是那些假冒猶太人的說謊者，在你面前俯伏下拜，讓他們知道你是我所疼愛的。因為你遵守我有關堅忍的教導，所以當將來的試煉臨到全人類的時候，我必使你免受磨難。

我聽從你的話，拒絕走惡道。

你們獲得重生，不是藉著會腐爛的種子，而是藉著不會腐爛的種子——上帝活潑永存的道。

祂按照自己的旨意，藉著真道重生了我們，使我們在祂所造的萬物之中好像初熟的果實。

我不再跟你們多談，因為世界的王快要來了。他根本沒有力量勝過我，

不要步該隱的後塵。他屬於那惡者，殺害了自己的弟弟。他為什麼要殺害自己的弟弟呢？因為他的行為邪惡，而他弟弟秉行公義。

我們屬於上帝，認識上帝的人聽從我們，不屬於上帝的人不聽從我們。這樣，我們就可以分辨真理的靈和錯謬的靈。

這些人既不是從人的血緣關係生的，也不是從人的情慾或意願生的，而是從上帝生的。

我說：「我要謹言慎行，免犯口舌之罪。只要身邊有惡人，我就用嚼環勒住自己的口。」

願榮耀歸給我們的救主——獨一的上帝！祂能保守你們不失足犯罪，使你們無瑕無疵、歡歡喜喜地站在祂的榮耀面前。

凡心存這種盼望的人都會自潔，因為主是聖潔的。

我遵守你的教導，潔身自守，不與殘暴之徒同流。

『我知道你住在撒旦稱王的地方。當我忠心的見證人安提帕在你們這撒旦盤踞之處殉道的時候，你仍然堅守我的名，仍然信靠我。
