If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.

Suppose you see any brother or sister commit a sin. But this sin is not the kind that leads to death. Then you should pray, and God will give them life. I’m talking about someone whose sin does not lead to death. But there is a sin that does lead to death. I’m not saying you should pray about that sin.

耶和华又对我说：“不要为这百姓求福。

他们说：“来吧！让我们设计谋害耶利米；因为我们有祭司讲律法，有智慧人设谋略，有先知说预言，都未曾断绝。来吧！让我们用舌头攻击他，不要理他一切的话。”耶和华啊，求你留心听我，且听那些指控我的人的话。人岂可以恶报善呢？他们竟挖坑要害我的性命！求你记念我站在你面前为他们说好话，要使你的愤怒转离他们。因此，愿他们的儿女忍受饥荒，愿他们死于刀剑之手；愿他们的妻无子，且作寡妇，愿他们的男人被死亡所灭，他们的壮丁在阵上被刀击杀。

耶和华对我说：“虽有摩西和撒母耳站在我面前，我的心也不顾惜这百姓。你把他们从我眼前赶出，叫他们出去吧！他们若问你说：‘我们往哪里去呢？’你就告诉他们，耶和华如此说：‘定为死亡的，必致死亡；定为刀杀的，必被刀杀；定为饥荒的，必遭饥荒；定为掳掠的，必被掳掠。’”

我在他们中间寻找一人重修城墙，在我面前为这地站在缺口上，使我不致灭绝它，却连一个也找不着。

耶和华对摩西说：“这百姓藐视我要到几时呢？我在他们中间行了这一切神迹，他们还不信我要到几时呢？我要用瘟疫击杀他们，使他们不得承受那地。我要使你成为大国，比他们强大。”摩西对耶和华说：“埃及人必听见，因你曾施展大能，领这百姓从他们中间出来。埃及人要告诉这地的居民，他们已经听见你—耶和华是在这百姓中间，因为你—耶和华面对面显示自己，你的云彩停在他们以上。你日间在云柱中，夜间在火柱中，在他们的前面行。你若把这百姓杀了，好像杀一个人那样，那听见你名声的列国必说：‘耶和华因为不能把这百姓领进他向他们起誓应许之地，所以在旷野把他们杀了。’现在求主显出大能，照你说过的话说：‘耶和华不轻易发怒，且有丰盛的慈爱。他赦免罪孽和过犯，万不以有罪的为无罪，必惩罚人的罪，从父到子，直到三、四代。’求你照你的大慈爱赦免这百姓的罪孽，好像你从埃及到如今饶恕这百姓一样。”耶和华说：“我照着你的话赦免他们。然而，我指着我的永生与遍地充满了耶和华的荣耀起誓：

因此，他说要灭绝他们；若非他所拣选的摩西在他面前站在破裂之处，使他的愤怒转消，恐怕他就灭绝他们了。

于是摩西哀求耶和华说：“神啊，求你医治她！”
