人若看見他弟兄犯了不至於死的罪，他就會為他求，上帝就要把生命給他，給那犯不至於死的罪的。但也有能至於死的罪；我們不是說他該為那個求問。

If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.

『你呢、也不要為這人民祈禱，不要為他們舉喊求或禱告聲，不要向我為他們代求，因為我不聽你。

『故此你不要為這人民祈禱，不要為他們舉喊求或禱告聲，因為他們遭難中向我呼求的時候我必不聽。

你們中間有患病的麼？他應該請教會的長老來，讓他們奉主的名用油抹他，為他禱告。有信心的祈禱必救治衰弱病人；主必使他起來；他若犯了罪，也必蒙赦免。

永恆主對我說：『你不要為這人民祈求福利。

他們就說：『來吧，我們來設計謀害耶利米；因為祭司有禮節規矩，智慧人有謀略，神言人有話語，都不能斷絕掉。來吧，我們用口舌攻擊他，他的甚麼話、我們都別理它。』『永恆主啊，求你理我！聽我辯訴的聲音！難道壞行為可以報善行，以致他們挖坑要害我的性命麼？求你記起我怎樣站在你面前為他們說好話，要使你的烈怒轉消、不降於他們。故此願你將他們的兒女交於饑荒，將他們交付於刀劍手下；願他們的妻喪失兒子，並做寡婦；願他們的男人被疫癘殺死，他們的壯丁在戰陣上被刀劍擊殺。

永恆主對我說：『就使有摩西和撒母耳站在我面前來代求，我的心也不向着這人民。從我面前給打發走，叫他們出去！他們若問你說：「我們要出去到哪裏呢？」你便對他們說：「永恆主這麼說：『那該遭疫癘的，就遭疫癘；該被刀殺的、就被刀殺；該受饑荒的，就受饑荒；該被擄的，就被擄。』」』

我在他們中間要找一個人來修造藩籬，在我面前為這國站在破口之處，使我不毁滅這國，卻找不着一個。

永恆主對摩西說：『這人民藐視我、要到幾時呢？雖有我在他們中間所行的一切神迹、他們還不信我、要到幾時呢？我要用瘟疫擊殺他們，趕滅他們；我要使你成為大國、比他們強盛。』摩西對永恆主說：『這樣、埃及人一定會聽見，一定會對這地的居民說；因為你曾施展你的大能力將這人民從他們中間領上來；他們早已聽見永恆主你在這人民中間、永恆主你給人親眼相對地看見，你的雲彩停在他們上頭，你在他們前面領路、日間在雲柱中、而夜間在火柱中。如今你若把這人民殺死，如同殺死一人，那麼那些聽見你名聲的外國人就會議論說：「這是因為永恆主不能把這人民領進他向他們起誓應許之地、故此在曠野把他們宰殺掉了。」現在求主大顯能力，照你所說過的話說：「永恆主不輕易發怒，乃有豐盛的堅愛；他饒赦罪愆、過犯；萬不以有罪為無罪，乃是要察罰罪愆，從父親到兒子、到三四代。」求你照你堅愛之宏大、照你從埃及到如今常饒赦這人民的樣子、赦免這人民的罪愆。』永恆主說：『照你的話、我赦免他們了；雖然如此，我指着永活的我來起誓，也指着全地必充滿着永恆主之榮耀來起誓，

故此他說要消滅他們；若非有他所揀選的摩西當決裂之時站在他面前，使他的烈怒轉消，避免施行殺滅，他們早已滅亡了。

於是摩西向永恆主哀叫說：『上帝啊，將她醫治好吧！求求你！』
