If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.

“至于你，不要为这人民祈祷，不要为他们呼求祷告，也不要为他们向我恳求，因为我不会听你。

他们说：“来吧！我们来设计对付耶利米；因为祭司的律法、智慧人的谋略、先知的话都不会断绝。来吧！我们用舌头攻击他，不理会他的一切话。”耶和华啊！求你倾听我的申诉，听那些指控我的人的声音。良善的应得恶报吗？他们竟然挖陷坑害我。求你记念我怎样站在你面前，为他们说好话，使你的烈怒离开他们。因此，愿你使他们的儿女遭受饥荒，把他们交给刀剑（“刀剑”原文作“刀剑的手”）；愿他们的妻子丧夫失子；愿他们的男人被杀死，他们的壮丁在战场上被刀剑击杀。

耶和华对我说：“即使摩西和撒母耳站在我面前代求，我的心也不会转向这人民。你把他们从我面前赶走，叫他们出去！如果他们问你：‘我们要去哪里？’你就告诉他们：‘耶和华这样说：该死亡的，就死亡；该被刀剑所杀的，就被刀剑所杀；该遭遇饥荒的，就遭遇饥荒；该被掳的，就被掳去！’

我在他们中间寻找一人重修墙垣，在我面前为这地站在破口之处，使我不毁灭这地，我却找不到一个。

耶和华对摩西说：“这民藐视我要到几时呢？我虽然在他们中间行了这些神迹，他们还是不信我要到几时呢？我要用瘟疫击杀他们，除灭他们；我要使你成为大国，比他们还强。”摩西对耶和华说：“这样埃及人必听见这事，因为你曾用大能，把这民从他们中间领上来；埃及人也必告诉那地的居民。那地的居民也曾听见你耶和华是在这人民中间，你耶和华曾面对面的向人显现，你的云彩常停在他们上面；日间你在云柱中，夜间你在火柱中，走在他们前面。现在如果你把这人民杀死，像杀死一人，那些听见你名声的万国就必议论说：‘因为耶和华不能把这民领进他向他们起誓应许的地，所以在旷野把他们杀了。’现在求主大发能力，照着你说过的话：‘耶和华不轻易发怒，且有丰盛的慈爱；他赦免罪孽和过犯；绝不以有罪的为无罪，必追讨罪孽，自父到子，直到三四代。’求你照着你的大慈爱，饶恕这人民的罪孽，好像你从埃及直到现在，常赦免这人民一样。”耶和华说：“我就照着你的话，赦免他们；但是，我指着我的永生起誓，全地要被耶和华的荣耀充满。

所以他说要灭绝他们，不是有他拣选的摩西，在他面前站在破口上，使他的怒气转消，恐怕他早已毁灭他们了。

于是摩西向耶和华哀求，说：“神啊，求你医好她。”
