This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

Here is what we can be sure of when we come to God in prayer. If we ask anything in keeping with what he wants, he hears us.

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.

And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.

凡爾因吾名而求者、予必成之、俾父因子見榮。

爾若恆與吾俱、而吾道恆存乎爾、則爾凡有所求、必得如願以償。

誠信而禱、所求必獲也。』

夫吾人固知天主不聽罪人、惟敬事天主而遵行其旨者、主則聽焉。

惟望毋失勇毅之氣、必有厚報。

若爾中有人智慧不足、則當求之天主、終必如願以償；蓋天主賜人至厚、博愛慈祥、而不事呵叱也。然務必求之以信、莫存絲毫狐疑。狐疑之人、如海上波濤、因風而起、隨風而轉、漫無定止；

良善者將聞報而相慶兮。恃主者當歡欣而鼓舞。

惟基督則為嗣子乃聖宅之主人也。聖宅者何、吾人是已；亦在吾人常存蓬勃之朝氣、與夫浩然之望德、堅忍不拔、莫負初心而已矣。

應知吾人能堅信不渝、始終如一、則與基督融為一體矣。
