任何靈若承認耶穌基督曾降世為人，就是從上帝來的，你們可以憑這一點認出上帝的靈。

任何靈若不承認耶穌，就不是從上帝來的，而是敵基督者的靈。以前你們聽說敵基督者要來，現在他已經在世上了。

等到真理之靈來了，祂會引導你們，讓你們明白一切的真理。祂不憑自己說話，而是把祂所聽見的和有關將來的事告訴你們。祂也要把從我那裡領受的指示你們，使我得榮耀。因為父的一切都是我的，所以我才說祂要把從我那裡領受的指示你們。
