由是我之愛得全備、迨審判之日、可毅然無懼、蓋主如何、我儕在世亦如何、

吾人苟能涵養愛德、使臻於圓融純熟之境、則吾人對於審判之日、可以泰然無憂矣。何則、吾人在世克肖天主具體而微也。

This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.

Suppose love is fulfilled among us. Then we can be without fear on the day God judges the world. Love is fulfilled among us when in this world we are like Jesus.

By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.

And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

從來沒有人見過上帝；我們若彼此相愛，上帝就住在我們裏面，他的愛也就在我們裏面得完全了。

你們看，父將何等的愛愛了我們；讓我們得稱為上帝的兒女！我們也真地是。世人之所以不認識我們的，是因為沒有認識他。

在這一點、我們可以知道我們屬於真實；就使我們的心怎樣責備我們，我們在上帝面前仍可自安，因為上帝比我們的心大；他知道萬事。親愛的，我們的心若不責備我們，我們在上帝面前就有坦然無懼的心了。

你們要記得我對你們說過的話：「僕人不比主人大」。他們若逼迫了我，也必逼迫你們；若遵守了我的話，也必遵守你們的話。

相反的，你們既在基督的受苦上有多少分兒，就該有多少喜樂，使你們在他榮耀顯示的時候也可以歡喜快樂。你們若在基督名內受辱罵，是有福的；因為「榮耀」之靈、就是上帝之靈、住在你們身上。

可見他的信心是跟行為並行合作的，而信心並且是由於行為才得完全呢。

我實在告訴你們，當審判的日子，所多瑪和蛾摩拉地方所受的，必比那城還容易受呢。

然而我告訴你們，當審判的日子、推羅西頓所受的，必比你們還容易受呢！

轉臉注視着信仰上的開創者和完成者耶穌：他為了那擺在他前頭的喜樂，就堅忍着十字架，輕看羞辱，如今已在上帝的右邊坐着呢。他堅忍着罪人這樣地頂撞他，你們要跟他比比，免得你們心灰意冷。

但現今的天和地呢、還是憑着那同一的話給火儲藏着保留着、等到審判的日子、不虔之人滅亡的日子。
