吾人苟能涵養愛德、使臻於圓融純熟之境、則吾人對於審判之日、可以泰然無憂矣。何則、吾人在世克肖天主具體而微也。

由是我之愛得全備、迨審判之日、可毅然無懼、蓋主如何、我儕在世亦如何、

This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.

Suppose love is fulfilled among us. Then we can be without fear on the day God judges the world. Love is fulfilled among us when in this world we are like Jesus.

By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.

And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

人未有獲睹天主者也。苟吾人能彼此相愛、則天主實寓吾心、而吾人亦能身體天主之愛德、漸達圓融純熟之境矣。

如此之人、亦即天主依其聖意而見召者也。蓋天主所預寵者、乃預簡之、俾克肖其聖子、欲使其聖子成為眾子中之冢息耳。

嗚呼、天父愛吾人之深、待吾人之厚、有不能言喻者焉。吾人竟蒙恩召、得稱為天主之子女、而亦實為天主之子女矣。然則吾人之不容於世、不亦宜乎；即天主亦未嘗見容於世也。

此實為吾人服膺聖道之徵而使吾人心曠神怡、對越天主者也。吾人若問心有疚、懇切自訟、則應念天主慈量大於吾心、而無所不諒也。

宜憶吾言、僕不能大乎其主、人既侮予、亦必悔爾；人守吾訓、亦必守爾之訓。

應知此乃可喜之事。蓋爾等既得與基督共患難、則於彼光榮顯現之日、必得與之同樂、將不知手之舞之、足之蹈之矣。爾等若果因基督之名而受唾罵、福莫大焉！蓋誠能如此、則光榮大能之聖神、天主之聖神、以爾為安宅矣。

可見其行固有恃乎其信、為之推動、而其信亦有待乎其行、為之玉成也。

吾實語爾、審判之日、索多馬蛾摩拉之刑、較是邑猶易堪焉。

第吾語爾、審判之日、諦羅西同之所受、較爾猶易堪也。

而致景仰於耶穌乎？耶穌者、乃吾人信德之金聲玉振也。曩者彼為前途不可思議之神樂、而甘嘗垢辱、毅然肩負苦架。今則安坐天主寶位之右矣。爾等當細心體驗、耶穌當時如何忍受群小之拂逆、庶幾不致灰心而自餒。

即現有天地、亦何嘗非憑天主之言而維持、以待不肖之徒受判被戮之日、而付諸一炬乎？
