这地方的犹太人比帖撒罗尼迦的人开明，热心领受这道，天天查考圣经，要知道这道是否真实。

“你们又为何不自己判断什么是合理的呢？

我知道你的行为、劳碌、忍耐，也知道你不容忍恶人。你也曾察验那自称为使徒却不是使徒的，看出他们是假的。

就是先知说假预言，祭司把权柄抓在自己手上，我的百姓也喜爱这样，到了结局你们要怎么办呢？”

那时，若有人对你们说：‘看哪，基督在这里！看哪，在那里！’你们不要信。

因为这样的人不服侍我们的主基督，只服侍自己的肚腹，用花言巧语诱惑老实人的心。你们的顺服已经传于众人，所以我为你们欢喜；但我愿你们在善上聪明，在恶上愚拙。
