The one who obeys God’s commands remains joined to him. And he remains joined to them. Here is how we know that God lives in us. We know it because of the Holy Spirit he gave us.

遵守神命令的，就住在神里面，神也住在他里面。我们所以知道神住在我们里面是因他所赐给我们的圣灵。

The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple? Don’t you know that God’s Spirit lives among you?

No one has ever seen God. But if we love one another, God lives in us. His love is made complete in us.Here’s how we know that we are joined to him and he to us. He has given us his Holy Spirit.

And he will give us anything we ask. That’s because we obey his commands. We do what pleases him.

Father, I pray they will be one, just as you are in me and I am in you. I want them also to be in us. Then the world will believe that you have sent me.

Guard the truth of the good news that you were trusted with. Guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

Don’t you know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit? The Spirit is in you, and you have received the Spirit from God. You do not belong to yourselves.

He came to set free those who were under the authority of the law. He wanted us to be adopted as children with all the rights children have.Because you are his children, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts. He is the Holy Spirit. By his power we call God Abba. Abba means Father.

But you are not ruled by the power of sin. Instead, the Holy Spirit rules over you. This is true if the Spirit of God lives in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Christ.If Christ lives in you, you will live. Though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life. The Spirit does this because you have been made right with God.The Spirit of the God who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you. So the God who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your bodies. He will do this because of his Spirit who lives in you.Brothers and sisters, we have a duty. Our duty is not to live under the power of sin.If you live under the power of sin, you will die. But by the Spirit’s power you can put to death the sins you commit. Then you will live.Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.The Spirit you received doesn’t make you slaves. Otherwise you would live in fear again. Instead, the Holy Spirit you received made you God’s adopted child. By the Spirit’s power we call God Abba. Abba means Father.The Spirit himself joins with our spirits. Together they tell us that we are God’s children.As his children, we will receive all that he has for us. We will share what Christ receives. But we must share in his sufferings if we want to share in his glory.

Those who claim to belong to him must live just as Jesus did.
