The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

The one who obeys God’s commands remains joined to him. And he remains joined to them. Here is how we know that God lives in us. We know it because of the Holy Spirit he gave us.

Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.

豈不知爾乃上帝殿、上帝之神居爾衷乎、

從未有見上帝者、若相愛、則上帝恆在我中、而其愛亦成全於我中矣、由是知我儕恆在彼中、彼恆在我中、因已賜其神於我也、

且凡所求者必得之、因我守其誡、而行其所悅之事也、

使皆為一、如父在我中、我在父中、使彼亦在我儕中、令世信爾遣我也、

昔託爾之善事、宜以居於我儕之聖神守之、○

豈不知上帝賜聖神於爾衷、而爾身乃聖神之殿乎、且爾非己有也、

以贖律下之人、使我儕得為子之分、既為子、上帝遣厥子之神、入我儕之心、呼曰、阿爸父也、

設上帝之神居爾衷、則爾不從形軀、而從神矣、不有基督之神者、非其徒也、若基督在爾衷、身則因罪而死、神則因義而生、若自死而起耶穌者之神居爾衷、則自死而起基督耶穌者、亦必以其居爾衷之神、甦爾將死之身、○兄弟乎、我儕非負債於形軀、致依形軀而生、爾若依形軀而生、則必死、惟以神而泯身之所行者、則必生、凡為上帝之神所導者、乃上帝子也、蓋爾曹非受為奴之神、復致畏懼、乃受為子之神、因而呼曰阿爸父也、聖神與我神共證我儕為上帝子、既為子、則為嗣、即上帝嗣、與基督同為嗣、若與之同苦、亦必與之同榮、○

自謂恆在主中者、其所行當如彼所行也、○
