Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.

我復將新誡致書以傳爾、在主乃真、在爾亦真、蓋晦暗方過、而真光已照也、

雖然、吾所書者、亦可謂之新誡命、主所體認、亦爾等所體認者也。蓋暗昧寖消、而真光已著矣。

Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining.

But I am writing what amounts to a new command. Its truth was shown in how Jesus lived. It is also shown in how you live. That’s because the darkness is passing away. And the true light is already shining.

At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.

Yet it is also new. Jesus lived the truth of this commandment, and you also are living it. For the darkness is disappearing, and the true light is already shining.

whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.

And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

For lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone.The flowers appear on the earth; The time of singing has come, And the voice of the turtledove Is heard in our land.

This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.

Then Jesus said to them,“ A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.

who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
