勿報仇、勿怨宗族、宜愛人如己、我乃耶和華也、

耶穌曰、其首云、以色列其聽之、主、我儕之上帝、惟一耳、宜盡心、盡性、盡意、盡力、愛主、爾之上帝、次則愛鄰如己、誡未有大於斯二者、士子曰、夫子所言、上帝惟一、誠善矣、其外無他也、且盡心、盡意、盡力、愛主、又愛鄰如己、則愈於諸燔犧祭祀矣、耶穌見其應對明敏、乃曰、爾去上帝國不遠矣、自是無敢問之者、○

曰、當盡心、盡性、盡意、愛主爾之上帝、此誡之首而大者、其次愛鄰如己亦猶是、全律及先知、統於此二誡也、○

兄弟乎、爾蒙召得自由、然勿以自由為形軀之機、惟以愛相供役、蓋全律一言以蔽之、曰愛鄰如己、

當盡心盡性盡力、愛爾上帝耶和華、

然依經所載、愛鄰如己之尊律、爾若盡之、則善矣、若以貌取人則為罪、乃律所擬為干犯者、人守全律而蹶於一、是干眾律也、蓋言毋淫者、亦言毋殺、爾若不淫而殺、則為干律者、或言或行、宜如將受鞫於自由之律者、

遂援之至亞畧巴古、曰、爾所言之新教、可得聞乎、
