不可報復，也不可向你的族人懷恨，卻要愛你的鄰舍好像愛自己；我是耶和華。

耶穌回答：“第一重要的是：‘以色列啊，你要聽！主我們的神是獨一的主。你要全心、全性、全意、全力，愛主你的神。’其次是：‘要愛人如己。’再沒有別的誡命比這兩條更重要的了。”那經學家對耶穌說：“老師，是的，你說的很對，神是獨一的，除了他以外再沒有別的神。我們要用全心、全意、全力去愛他，並且要愛人如己，這就比一切燔祭和各樣祭物好得多了。”耶穌見他回答得有智慧，就對他說：“你距離神的國不遠了。”從此再也沒有人敢問他了。

他回答：“你要全心、全性、全意愛主你的神。這是最重要的第一條誡命。第二條也和它相似，就是要愛人如己。全部律法和先知書，都以這兩條誡命作為根據。”

弟兄們，你們蒙召得了自由；只是不可把這自由當作放縱情慾的機會，總要憑著愛心互相服事。因為全部的律法，都在“愛人如己”這一句話裡面成全了。

你要全心、全性、全力愛耶和華你的神。

你們若照著聖經所說“要愛人如己”這話，去完成這至尊的律法，你們就作對了。如果你們憑外貌待人，就是犯罪，律法就要裁定你們是犯法的。因為凡是遵守全部律法的，只要在一條上失足，就違犯所有的了。就像那說“不可姦淫”的，也說“不可殺人”；你縱然不姦淫，卻殺人，還是犯法的。你們既然按著使人自由的律法受審判，就應照著這律法說話行事。

他們拉著保羅，把他帶到亞略．巴古那裡，說：“你所講的這個新道理，我們可以知道嗎？
