但這並不是說神的話語落了空，因為由以色列所生的，並不都是以色列人；

並且我賜給他們永恆的生命，他們絕不會滅亡，直到永遠。誰也不能把他們從我手中奪走。我父，就是把他們賜給我的那一位，他比一切更大。誰也不能把他們從我父的手中奪走。我與父是一體的。」

連我信任的密友，就是那吃過我飯的，也抬腳踢我。

然而，他們不能再進一步了，因為他們的無知會在眾人面前顯露出來，就像那兩個人一樣。

就是按照父神的預知，藉著聖靈分別為聖，以致順從耶穌基督，又蒙他寶血所灑的人：願恩典與平安多多地加給你們！願頌讚歸於神——我們主耶穌基督的父！他照著自己極大的憐憫，藉著耶穌基督從死人中的復活，使我們重生，得著永生的盼望，得著不會朽壞、不會玷汙、不會衰殘、保存在天上的繼業；你們藉著信，在神的大能中蒙保守，以至於那預備好要在末世顯現的救恩。

那被撒上種子的『岩石地』是這樣的人：他聽了這話語，立刻懷著喜樂的心接受了它；只是他裡面沒有根而不能持久，一旦為這話語受患難或逼迫，他立刻就放棄了。

所有屬於我而不結果子的枝條，他就除掉；而所有結果子的，他就修剪乾淨，好讓它結出更多的果子。

因為假基督們和假先知們會出現，行大神蹟和奇事，如果有可能，甚至迷惑那些蒙揀選的人。

照樣，在現今的時刻也有剩餘的少數，就是藉著恩典蒙揀選的人。既然藉著恩典，就不再本於行為了；否則，恩典就不再是恩典了。

凡是父賜給我的人，都會到我這裡來，而到我這裡來的人，我絕不丟棄，因為我從天上降下來，不是要行自己的意思，而是要行那派我來者的意思。那派我來者的旨意，就是要我不失去他賜給我的任何人，而且要我在末日使他復活。

我們聽說從我們這裡出去的一些人，用一些話使你們不安，攪擾你們的心靈。其實我們沒有吩咐他們。

耶穌基督的奴僕、雅各的弟弟猶大，致那些蒙召、在父神裡蒙愛、在耶穌基督裡蒙保守的人：

原來，他們如果藉著認識我們的主、救主耶穌基督而逃脫這世界的汙穢，卻又被這些汙穢糾纏、制伏了，那麼，他們最後的情況就比先前更壞了；因為認識了義的道路以後，背離那交託給他們的神聖誡命，對他們來說，倒不如不認識還好。

然而，我們不是退縮以致滅亡的人，而是有信仰以致保全靈魂的人。
