孩子們哪，我曾寫信給你們，因為你們認識父。父老們啊，我曾寫信給你們，因為你們認識從起初就有的那一位。青年們哪，我曾寫信給你們，因為你們剛強，神的道常存在你們心裏，你們也勝過了那惡者。

一切都是我父交給我的。除了父，沒有人知道子是誰；除了子和子所願意啟示的人，沒有人知道父是誰。」

孩子們哪，你們是屬神的，並且勝過了假先知，因為那在你們裏面的比那在世界上的更大。

我們知道，凡從神生的，必不犯罪；從神生的那一位，必保守他，那邪惡者無法加害於他。

一切都是我父交給我的；除了父，沒有人知道子；除了子和子所願意啟示的人，沒有人知道父。

他們這樣做，是因為沒有認識父，也沒有認識我。

「因為他專心愛我，我要搭救他；因為他認識我的名，我要把他安置在高處。

我們若遵守神的命令，就知道我們確實認識他。人若說「我認識他」，卻不遵守他的命令，就是說謊話的，真理就不在他裏面了。

強壯是青年的榮耀；白髮為老人的尊榮。

我的孩子們哪，我把這些話寫給你們，是要你們不犯罪。若有人犯罪，在父那裏我們有一位中保，就是那義者耶穌基督。

少年和少女，老人和孩童，

使他們都合而為一。正如父你在我裏面，我在你裏面，使他們也在我們裏面，好讓世人信是你差我來的。

於是他們問他：「你的父在哪裏？」耶穌回答：「你們不認識我，也不認識我的父；若是認識我，也會認識我的父。」

凡聽見天國的道而不明白的，那惡者就來，把撒在他心裏的奪了去；這就是撒在路旁的了。

耶穌回答：「我若榮耀自己，我的榮耀就算不了甚麼；榮耀我的是我的父，就是你們所說的你們的神。你們不認識他，我卻認識他。我若說不認識他，我就是說謊的，像你們一樣；但我認識他，也遵守他的道。
