孩子們，我曾寫信給你們，因為你們認識了天父。父老們，我曾寫信給你們，因為你們認識了從太初就存在的那位。年輕人，我曾寫信給你們，因為你們剛強，上帝的道常存在你們心裡，並且你們戰勝了那惡者。

我父將一切交給了我。除了父，沒有人認識子；除了子和受子啟示的人，沒有人認識父。」

孩子們，你們屬於上帝，你們已經勝過了那些假先知，因為在你們裡面的聖靈比在世上運行的邪靈更有能力。

我們知道從上帝生的不會繼續犯罪，因為上帝的兒子保護他，那惡者無法害他。

我父將一切交給了我。除了父，沒有人認識子；除了子和受子啟示的人，沒有人認識父。

他們這樣做，是因為他們根本不認識父，也不認識我。

耶和華說：「因為他愛我，我必拯救他；因為他信靠我的名，我必保護他。

我們若遵行上帝的命令，就知道自己認識祂。若有人說「我認識祂」，卻不遵行祂的命令，這人是說謊的，他心中沒有真理。

力量是青年的榮耀，白髮是老人的尊榮。

我的孩子們，我寫這些話給你們是為了叫你們不要犯罪。如果有人犯了罪，在父那裡我們有一位護慰者，就是那位義者——耶穌基督。

少男、少女、老人和孩童啊，你們要讚美耶和華！

使他們都合而為一，正如父你在我裡面，我在你裡面一樣，並且使他們也在我們裡面，好讓世人相信是你差我來的。

他們問：「你的父在哪裡？」耶穌回答說：「你們不認識我，也不認識我的父。如果你們認識我，也會認識我的父。」

種子落在路旁，是指人聽了天國的道理卻不明白，魔鬼乘虛而入，把撒在他心裡的奪走了；

耶穌說：「如果我為自己爭取榮耀，那榮耀算不了什麼。但使我得榮耀的是我的父，你們也稱祂為你們的上帝。你們不認識祂，我卻認識祂。如果我說我不認識祂，那我就像你們一樣是說謊的。然而，我認識祂，並且遵行祂的道。
