My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

我小子乎、我書此遺爾、免爾干罪、人若干罪、則我儕於父前有代言者、即義者耶穌基督也、

我書達小子、使爾不陷罪、人若陷罪、則於父前、有保惠師、義人耶穌基督、

小子乎、我書此達爾、使爾不陷罪、若有人陷罪、則在父前有我中保、即義人耶穌基督、

小子乎、吾作是書、欲爾等勿犯罪耳。然即使不幸獲罪、則吾人在聖父臺前、自有恩保代為贖罪、即聖者耶穌基督是已。

My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father— Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.

My dear children, I’m writing this to you so that you will not sin. But suppose someone does sin. Then we have a friend who speaks to the Father for us. He is Jesus Christ, the Blameless One.

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died— more than that, who was raised— who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever.Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous.

And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God.For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry.

She said,“ No one, Lord.” And Jesus said,“ Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”]]

my little children, for whom I am again in the anguish of childbirth until Christ is formed in you!

Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.”

I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name’s sake.I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, children, because you know the Father.

Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.

So Jesus said to them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel.For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will.For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son,that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.“ Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him,“ See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.”

Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.

What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!

I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that,

Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me, and just as I said to the Jews, so now I also say to you,‘ Where I am going you cannot come.’
