此生顯著、我儕曾見之而為證、且以語爾、即永生也、乃原偕父而顯著於我儕者、

永生之道、與父共在、顯著於我、我見之為證、即以授爾、

其生命已顯著、我見之為證、而以此永生、即原與父同在、而顯著於我儕者傳於爾、

此無始無終、向與聖父相俱之生命、曾現身於世。其在世時、吾人既得親炙、爰為作證、而宣之於爾。

The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.

This life has appeared. We have seen him. We are witnesses about him. And we announce to you this same eternal life. He was already with the Father. He has appeared to us.

敬虔的奧祕是公認為偉大的：上帝在肉身顯現，被聖靈稱義，被天使看見，被傳於外邦，被世人信服，被接在榮耀裏。

犯罪的是出於魔鬼，因為魔鬼從起初就犯罪。上帝的兒子顯現出來，是為了要毀滅魔鬼的作為。

你們也要作見證，因為你們從起初就與我同在。」

這真理是在盼望那無謊言的上帝在萬古之先所應許的永生，

「耶和華在造化的起頭，在太初創造萬物之先，就有了我。從亙古，從太初，未有大地以前，我已被立。沒有深淵，沒有大水的泉源，我已出生。大山未曾奠定，小山未有之先，我已出生。那時，他還沒有創造大地和田野，並世上頭一撮塵土。他立高天，我在那裏，他在淵面的周圍劃出圓圈，上使穹蒼堅硬，下使淵源穩固，為滄海定出範圍，使水不越過界限，奠定大地的根基。那時，我在他旁邊為工程師，天天充滿喜樂，時時在他面前歡笑，

耶穌對他說：「我就是道路、真理、生命；若不藉着我，沒有人能到父那裏去。

太初有道，道與上帝同在，道就是上帝。這道太初與上帝同在。

你們殺了那生命的創始者，上帝卻叫他從死人中復活；我們都是這事的見證人。

但如今藉着我們的救主基督耶穌的顯現已經表明出來；他把死廢去，藉着福音，將不朽的生命彰顯出來。

我從父而來，到了世界，又離開世界，到父那裏去。」

所以，我這同作長老，作基督受苦的證人和分享將來所要顯現的榮耀的人，勉勵在你們中間的長老們：

父啊，現在求你使我在你面前得榮耀，就是在未有世界以前，我同你享有的榮耀。

耶穌從死人中復活後向門徒顯現，這是第三次。

除了從天降下的人子，沒有人升過天。

這耶穌，上帝已經使他復活了，我們都是這事的見證人。

不是顯現給所有的人看，而是顯現給上帝預先所揀選為他作見證的人看，就是我們這些在他從死人中復活以後和他同吃同喝的人。

我所說的是在我父那裏看見的；你們所做的是在你們的父那裏聽到的。」
